Forrester, Rhett (Riot)

- Sep 22nd, 1956

Death

- Jan 22nd, 1994

Cause

- Rhett was known for his lead singer career with Riot releasing two full lenght albums with the band at early 80s after original singer of Riot stepped down. Rhett was the one who bring Riot into the fame with his strong commanding stage presence and slightly more mainstream yet very fitting vocal delivery which was quite hard rock'ish slightly rough but soulful. Rhett graduated from high school of which after he started his life drifting along with one local band singing gigs for them. This led him to leave his home and move along the band town to town eventually ending into a contract offer for lead singer to band we know as Riot. After the two Riot albums he took part of - he then moved to Paris - where he recorded his first solo album Gone With The Wind and shortly after second one called Even The Score. After this Rhett moved back to the states and worked for a project with Jonathan Grell called Mr. Dirty. It was at January 22 of 1994 happenings which led to Rhett's death. Police stated that two men had approaced Rhett in his car when he was stopped at an intersection. The men most likely tried to hijack his car of which Rhett refused to give up. Witness has said he heard arguing between hijackers and Rhett and shortly after this another of the hijackers cowardly shot Rhett to the back. Bullet then pierced his heart. Despite this he was able to drive a few blocks away where he encountered a police vehicle and screamed "I've been shot!" then collapsing into his death. Police has no clear motive for the crime and it's yet unsolved case.

McDonald Jr., John Patrick "Midnight"(Crimson Glory)

- John Patrick McDonald better known as "Midnight" in metal scene was the original lead singer for american band Crimson Glory. He sang on first three albums for the band. Albums are called Crimson Glory, Transcendence and Strange and Beautiful. After this he went for self-imposed exile almost for an decade releasing some solo material in varying musical styles time to time (not included in discography since it's not all truely "metal"). Midnight then rejoined Crimson Glory in 2005 but no record was made with him due the fact that he was arrested at 2007 in Sarasota, Florida for "driving under influence". He gave his occupation as "painter" for police. He was also cited for driving with a suspended license. Due to July 2009 his health has worsened into stage which caused his death - diagnosed as "total kidney and liver failure" at age of 47. At his final moments he spent with his best friends and family. He's said to be true artist soul and great friend. He certainly was a multitalent working with different style projects musically after departing from Crimson Glory. Midnight had one of most striking and unique voice singing from mid range to his trademark glass breaking high with stunningly powerful delivery and emotion. Wayne, David (Metal Church, Reverend)

Birth

- Jan 1st, 1958

Death

- May 9th, 2005

Cause

- David Wayne was original lead singer in semi-known heavy metal band Metal Church. Before his heavy metal career it is said that he was a field medic in US army. He left Metal Church after the release of The Dark album at 1986 and formed his new band Reverend who released a few albums at early 90s. Wayne then had some quiet time before returning into heavy metal vocal duties to his former band Metal Church for one album at 2001 called Masterpeace. At same year he was also working with his newer band Reverend at the time of which with he recorded vocals to A Gathering Demons EP. At some point most likely late 2004 Wayne was involved in a car crash which he survived at first. March 2005 at one of his reunion shows with Reverend - at last song - David was not feeling well and collapsed to the ground. As show had been going great otherwise and crowd chanting for more, exhausted and in pain Wayne did encore song despite all this. He was a true showman. However it was clear that something was wrong with his health. May 2005 one day - if I remember correctly - after walking to his home door he just collapsed and died. Reason was complications from the previous car crash he had suffered. David had very unique high wailing evil sounding  shrieky voice that cuts like razor.
